INUPIAQ BALEEN BASKETS    

 Inupiaq Eskimos live on mainland Alaska but originate from the King Islands in the Northern region of Alaska. At the present time, there are not very many weavers of baleen basketry. The localities of Pt. Hope and Barrow, Alaska, are the primary regions where these baskets are woven.
